Our weekend was amazing, but hardly the kicked-back holiday away from work most people enjoy. Firemancer coordinated and performed three shows Friday night and a fourth on Saturday. From the Roller Dolls at the Denver Colliseum to Hauntcon's private tour of Little Spider's Scream Park, and then two birthday parties--one for a great group of kids, the other some fun-loving adults! We were busy and loving it.

The Professional Car Society gathers every year to show off some of the most beautifully restored classic hearses, limos, and old fashioned ambulances. It's a treat to see so many of these rare vehicles, muchless perform in a parking lot full of them. The owners were riveted with an exciting fire show before firing up their own lights, sirens, and even... a flaming hearse with huge wings!

With the opening of Steak au Poivre, Denver's newest fine dining experience, Firemancer presented Moulin Rouge with Paul Borrillo, Kelli Shafer, and a troupe of can can dancers that definitely can! This glamorous occasion was captured by KWGN's (WB 2) premiering episode of Denver Live to be aired at 11:30pm this Sunday, July 31st.

When the String Cheese Incident came to Red Rocks Ampitheater, thousands of crazy-loving festival freaks followed with hula hoops in hand. Unlike most folks, many of these folks have seen fire poi at Burning Man or Rainbow Gatherings. It was a great opportunity to show the strikenly unussual fire arts Firemancer is known for. They ended up loving it so much, they put us on main stage with the band. And when Melinda lit up her hula hoop, well...
